Field Reports
In Denmark our herptiles hibernates every year and due to our cold nordic clima the fieldherping season can be a bit short.
The field reports are only ment for my own amusement. Since 2011 I chose not to handle herptiles very often. Therefore there are many situational pictures of poor quality. I like in-situ-shots way better than the kind of unnatural photos; where the animal is placed on a background. I'd rather have a lot of natural low quality motives, than fake pictures. And since the website is not a nature-photo site, but a fieldherpetological site; I only use my reports to remember how many animals I found on the different trips every year. Knowledge comes first, quality comes second. Watching the animals in their natural environment, with my own eyes, is the most important part -> For me; this has always been the essence of fieldherping.
My website decompress my pictures, therefore the quality is not as high as in reality. Uploaded pictures on this page tend to become indistinct and blurred.
I have the pictures in high resolution. If you need to borrow one of my pictures for scientific purposes, simply send me an email.
